Doors to my dream house

Have you ever dreamed of your house - what would it look like and how will you make it on your own? I am dreaming of mine for a while now, as some of you may know. And as I keep dreaming of this house I thought I would rather get prepared for the moment my dream come true! Because dreams come true, right? So what to start with - I thought entrance doors might be a good idea for the beginning. You look at your home and first thing you see are the doors. In my picture there are huge windows too, but I'll talk about them in the future. For now check how nice and WOW sooo much colorful doors ideas I've found on Pinterest.

Get your home ready for the Spring!

Do you feel the Spring coming on? Well, I do! Apart from the fact that it's still a bit gray and windy outside and the Sun is still playing with us, I feel the Spring in the air. Look, how incredibly easy DIY I found on Pinterest with tips and tricks on how to put some blooming letters into your home! I know, it's not so common in Poland to put decorations on your door, but you can also put the letter on the window, balcony or simply anywhere else around you. As long as the project involve floral foam, it's safe for the fresh flowers. You can also use faux flowers and be sure the ornament looks great on the wall. Pick your flowers and enjoy, because I will!

Blooming kitchen apron

Welcome back after a long weekend - too long if you ask me, as it was totally overhelmed taking care of the sick little lady with her 40 degree fever. Luckily my husband helped me alot with our Dawdler, and so did our family and friends, visiting us and replacing us for a few moments in playing with Zu. Thanks everybody! You are irreplaceable.

Due to this crazy weekend sickness I wasn't even able to show you the Icons for Follow Friday #2, not to mention a new post. But today is a good day to do that, so here you are: inspired by the visit of my friend, Asia - blooming kitchen apron.

The best is yet to come...

There is lots and lots of things happening behind the scenes, which will come to the public soon, I even hope it'll be very soon. I'd like to thank all of you who visit my blog and thanks to whom I keep breathing in this virtual world. For this moment I need to show you just a little bit of what I did in the past, still keeping the best for the future. It's a part of a small box of things made in grey melange fabric. Small ot only because it's quite difficult for the begginer to sew this kind of fabric, but also because I find this colour pretty sad, especially when worn by babies and toddlers.
What I made during my journey with grey melange was the Cotton Baby Blanket, which I showed you yet in January (here), and the headband - a small masterpiece gifted to my younger sister, Eva.

Colorful beanie and tube socks

This passing winter I learned how to use the magical use of magic loop needles, which is great and so easy! As soon as I caught the idea and magic tricks to avoid sewing the beanie with ugly stitches, I had to make something for upcoming snow. So here it is: the colourful striped project for Zu, composed of a hat and tube socks, which are so little and cute.

Vintage baby dress trimmed with lace

This story will be about how the baby dress affected the day my little Zu was born. When waiting for her, I was looking for some nice dresses on the Internet for the coming winter and spring and many special occasions we were ment to have in the future. I've visited several nice on-line shops, craft masters blogs and others, and I have finally found the inspiration I was looking for. It was a Vivi & Oli Babies Fashion Life blog that have directed me to these masterpieces of the BBK Creations  company in France. The collection of dresses and shoes for the little princess was actually an art. Lovely, vintage designed, retro inspired with nice cal colours, terrific ribbons and so precise in details as no one else is making.

Christening knitted baby balnket

Many of you may have already noticed that a great part of my work recently posted on my Blog is made especially for someone. Today I'll reveal you another part of the box - made especially for my daughter, little Zu. As it is with a small baby, there is only a little bit of time during the day, which Mum may spend doing her favorite things, including crafts in my case :-) But, if you look at the time when the baby was expected, here you have a long 9 months for doing everything you want!

And so it was in my story - I made a lot of things I supposed would be necessary for Zu when I was waiting for her. But the blanket I want to show you in this post was made right after she was born, when I started collecting the baptism apparel for her.

You don't use a kitchen apron? Don't worry, I'll make one for you!

My dearest sister Ann and her husband is going to visit South America these days. What an adventure is waiting for them!!! (Oh! How jealous I am!) Before their departure we went to visit them last Sunday evening, and I have once again noticed (actually I have only confimed my prevoius observation) that my sister doesn't use the kitchen glove I made for her one day for her name day!!!
When I visit Sokół, the kitchen glove and the apron I made for her new appartment looks like being used all around :-) And I love it!
But, frankly speaking, I also accept the fact, that my dearest sister Ann doesn't have a need to use the kitchen accessories I made for her, although it is she who is cooking the most in our family (exept our Mom). I have to admit, that at the time I made these accessories for Ann as a gift, I was able to do only such things on my sewing machine. I loved the way the fabrics may be put together in different combination, and I thought my sister (or anybody else) would love it too. So there was a moment in my life, when I made only kitchen accessories gifts, no matter if the recipient needed such accessories or not, and no matter if he or she was going to use it or not :-) I didn't care as long as I loved the gifts I made by my hands. Well, I'll show you some of them, and you decide, whether I was right or not :-)

Black and white snow beanie

My husband used to say I always do these masterpieces for others instead of doing something for him. I did a lot of stuff for my friends and family members, and there was no time for doing things for the closest friend of mine and the closest family member. That was his accusation I had to face day by day. When I think about it now, I guess it was all of the inspiration moments, that gave me picture of things I am sure my husband wouldn't like to have or even watch. They were colorful kitchen aprons or crazy pixel patchwork throws, while at our home we applied black and white style.

But finally he requested a THING especially for him! The black and white beanie made for the big snow holidays we look forward to!
