Egg collection of Craftberrybush

If I ever have my own small, cozy house, I would make some part of it decorated with the Egg collection and Feather collection - both made by Craftberrybush, which I admire alot. The work of this artist looks prettiest with every project she does, especially her watercolor paintings, so gentle and colorful. And so realistic. I keep following her for many months now, and I'm still not decided which project of her I'd love to have the most. However, as I was born in a neighborhood of great green forest, full of birds and animals, I would like to have a piece of it at my home. That's why I picked the Egg collection and the Feather collection, as they reflect the nature of birds and the colors are one of my favorites. Look how beautiful they are:

My Story

I used to believe the company and civil law is the essence of my life, until I discovered the passion for creativity. One day I just realized that the only thing which makes me really, really happy is crafting. I knew that long time before I got my first sewing machine (Nov 2012), I just didn’t say that out loud to myself.

Extreme knitting

I don't remember actually how it started, I think it was some design magazine that showed me a photo of an extreme knitted white blanket. And I desired to make such cozy and stunning things. I've started with looking up for this big loop yarn and adequate needles and I've found many people doing these things and selling all necessary stuff. My first inspiration was Jacqueline Fink from Little Dandelion who makes such a wonderful blankets and throws. I asked my dearest hubby - Santa Claus to bring me those huge needles and at least a sample of the big yarn so that I could check whether it is a story for me. My beloved Santa, supported by the TJOCKT company from Finland brought me that fantastic present I wished!

Butterfly baby blanket

In spite of ubiquitous minky fabric, especially those minky cuddle dimple dot fabrics which are used now for every kind of baby blankets in Poland (I've also used it in one of my projects, see here), as the spring came here, I have made a butterfly baby blanket for my little daughter. I made it of microfiber fabric, similar in touch with minky, but totally different in look.

No matter how minky blankets are beautiful, my daughter deserves something more original. I was looking for an inspiration for a long time and, as usual, it occured, that everything is within reach, you just need to take it and put the puzzle together. Enough talking, time for the show :-)
